May 25, 2007

May 25 was a busy day for the Casamento family:

Maria, paragon of stability, was feted for her 14 years of service at Pope Elementary in Arlington Texas.  She will be moving to another school (Rankin Elementary) next year. Maria also was celebrating 30 years as an educator. Only 7 years to retirement!

That evening, Keith graduated with high honors (that's magna cum laude for those of you in Latin speaking countries) from Mansfield HS.  While at Mansfield, he lettered in track and was in the National Honor Society. Keith will be heading to the School of Engineering at Rutgers University in the fall.

The answer to the question of why Keith never smiles in photos is:

He is smiling.  You should see what his expression is like when he's not posing. :-)

Oh, and in case you were wondering about Tony:

The paragon of instability, since leaving J&J in 2000, Tony has been a network manager at John Peter Smith Hospital, has taught math at 2 public and one charter school and is currently a stock broker for TD Ameritrade.  Still considering what he wants to be when he grows up, he is contemplating getting certified as a personal trainer this summer.  Tony plans to retire in about 20 years, at which time he would like to do contract work as a body painter for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
