Disillusioned with the SS,401k, IRA retirement system, Maria & Tony ventured to Harrah's Horseshoe Casino.  With Keith's college fund in tow, they were eager to try out the 7-11 retirement plan.  Of course, no trip to the area would be complete without a visit to the famous Municipal Auditorium.  You would be hard pressed to name a noted country singer of the 50's and 60's who did not perform there.  Of course most of you would be hard pressed to name a noted country singer of the 50's and 60's period.

As it turned out, quite unexpectedly, the most interesting part of the trip was an afterthought to visit Barksdale AFB and The 8th Air Force Museum.  Barksdale was Tony's point of embarkation for his first trek to Clark AFB, Philippines in October, 1972.  It was also the headquarters of his now defunct unit.

Oh, by the way: Tony & Maria were provided with $20 of comp money.  They used it cleverly to amass $2.25 in PURE PROFIT!  They just hope the IRS doesn’t find out about it.

For you trivia fans, the zip code for Bossier City is 71111.  Pretty cool for a casino town.
